SUPERIOR, Wis. 鈥?Amtrak has expressed interest in building an up to $600 million passenger rail line between Minneapolis and the twin port cities of Duluth, Minnesota, and Superior, Wisconsin.Leaders in both states welcomed Amtrak interest in the proposed Northern Lights Express rail service on Monday, Wisconsin Public Radio reported. Farmers RECC recently stanley cup donated $7,000 to local organizations who are committed to ending hunger in the area.The BackPack Program, organized by Feeding America, helps childre stanley becher n get nutritious, easy-to-prepare food so they can get enough to eat on the weekends, when they are not in school. Bags of food are assembled at area food banks and then distributed to children through the schools Youth Resource Office.Farmers RECC donated $2,000 each to Barren, Hart and Metcalfe counties. Approximately $120 will feed a student on the weeke stanley kubek nds for the entire school year. The funds have been distributed to the schools Youth Resource offices so they can identify individuals with a need for the donations.In addition, Farmers RECC donated $1,000 to the Barren County Reads and Feeds program, which donates food to local students struggling with food insecurity. We understand that hunger is a very real problem for some of our area students, said Caralyne Pennington, Director of Member and Public Communications at Farmers RECC.
